Our courses and training are designed for anyone wishing to increase their skills and knowledge, who work in an RTO or training, learning and development environment. Our courses consist of the following programs:

OverviewRTO Staff Training, Learning and Development

This qualification draws together the skills, knowledge and practice of people requiring the recognition in their role as auditors. The core units provide an overview of preparing, managing, conducting and reviewing audits, then presenting the results of the audit to senior management.

Who will benefit

Participants will be those responsible for internal and/or external auditing of organisational management systems, work on behalf of regulatory bodies or are looking to enhance their existing skills within an RTO environment.

What is required to gain the qualification

Attendance on the training program/s and successful completion of the assessment requirements. Assessment consists of set workplace tasks/assignments for each of the clustered units. Underpinning knowledge questions and third-party reports will also supplement the assessment approach.

Note: To demonstrate competency in leading an audit, you must be working with a team of auditors (consisting of at least one other auditor) for one of the workplace audits.

Participants have up to 2 years to complete the training and assessment requirements of the qualification. This time frame will vary for each individual depending on their existing level of skills and knowledge and their ability to attend the training programs.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for all or part of this qualification. Please refer to the Enrolment Kit for further details.

This qualification is a valuable professional development pathway for experienced practitioners working in corporate learning and development roles, who require a broad understanding of the national training framework who work within or external to an RTO. In addition, this qualification offers candidates an opportunity to develop their skills in the e-learning space, which has become increasingly relevant and attractive in the learning community.

What is required to gain the qualification

In addition to program attendance, you will be required to complete work-based projects which include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting two organisational training needs analyses
  • Design learning approaches to meet the needs of two distinct client groups
  • Develop the learning resources and assessment tools to support your learning program
  • Address the language and literacy needs of learners
  • Researching and delivery of two e-learning resources
  • Organising and facilitating two e-learning activities and one e-learning program

Third-party reports will also supplement the assessment approach. Participants have up to 2 years to complete the training and assessment requirements of the qualification. This time frame will vary depending on each individuals existing level of skills and knowledge and availability to attend the training programs.
